Finger Painting on the Apple iPad from the live model David Kassan http://davidkassan.com
davidkassan.com A quick Apple ipad live fingerpainting demo that I streamed live from my Brooklyn studio on Monday June 21st. 2010, The model sat for 3 hours as I painted and answered questions on how I use the iPad and the Brushes app. Just thinking of creative uses for the ipad.
@leonardorezendeny Just skip it if its too long FOR YOU
This is too long. It should be edited shorter. Sometimes LESS is MORE!
@CstandsforAwesome That’s awesome
Wish it were built in so I wouldn’t have to pay extra for stuff that was supposed to be there in the first place. If I have to pay additionally for a stand, a hardware keyboard, a camera, a USB card reader… I’d rather buy a netbook that has multitasking, Flash, Java, card reader, camera and all the small things for much less or maybe just get a MacBook that has all this costs as much as a full-featured iPad.
@Kkunchev TROLL ALERT LOL
iPad is the best device for Painters and Drawing lovers.
@Kkunchev Ever heard of the “Camera connection kit”?
or the usb kit something like that IDK ;/
@CstandsforAwesome I would want to connect my dSLR to it so I can upload my cool photos to the internet through the high speed wi-fi the tablet has when I’m traveling. I would surely want to transfer via bluetooth some files to other devices. I would definitely want to swap some memory cards when I’m not carrying a cable and the other computer doesn’t have iTunes. That’s lack of connectivity and compatibility. I would want to connect my pocket music player and sync all the music.
@WimpyTV It does
I’m using Flash on my Nokia n800 touch tablet since 2007. You need to check again, my friend. Apple mobile devices do not support Flash
There’s also Flash and Java on all the latest Android touch devices. Google first, speak later!
@Kkunchev Judging from the way he paints, i doubt he only does it digital
1.Granted
2.What would you want to connect to the ipad?
3. The size is great
4. It has a bunch of great apps and obviously they hit the spot with tablets(why would microsoft study the way ipad users ineract with it?), There is frash if you really die without flash.
And digital art, granted not as organic as the analogue way, is still a very respectable form of art which requires skill, patience and real talent
@Kkunchev Flash does not support touch screens.
@CstandsforAwesome The artist is great. I love all sorts of visual arts. The iPad is overpriced because of: 1. no camera 2. lack of connectivity to other devices 3. its huge size 3. all additional devices like keyboard you need to buy 4. it’s an internet device as big as a netbook and it doesn’t run Flash and Java.
The dude is not stupid. but I don’t want Apple fanboys to think you will turn into an artist because you own an iPad. Only real paintings in analogue format have real value.
@Kkunchev what exactly are you trying to get across here?
is the ipad overpriced?
is the guy’s art bad?
that the dude is stupid?
why wouldn’t the painting have real value?
nice
yeah, it’s difficult, when it has no camera…
@Kkunchev they aren’t trying to say that at all…. this guy found a neat way to use this tool. It is certainly worth something. They used to say tv wasn’t worth anything and was only a fad and wouldn’t catch on. And no one thought people would ever successfully use computers to create art… you can see how wrong they were. This is just one more tool to be used in a variety of ways for creative expression… the value is determined by the viewer – some will like, some won’t. It’s subjective.
@Mo0orty it says the song name and artist that plays it in the credits at the end of the video
If you buy an iPad you’ll be able actually draw great pictures
For $499 you will become a real artist! Thanks Apple! You really made this Kassan dude an artist out of a guy who didn’t know the names of the colors until yesterday!
This is crap. Such a painting has no real value and will never be worth a dime. Sorry you’ve wasted your time.
@botzofwainui mlaooo no it didnt… dont you see thats its sped up?
It only took him 7 minutes and 51 seconds to draw this
@EightFiftyRyan
relax you troll.
over 100 people missed the like button
@Mo0orty passages by maserati
my finger bleeds !!! (guy with the ipad)
this happens when Apple forgets to add camera to their new gadget…
What’s name of that song in this video?
